I would like to bring your attention to an issue that we've been having in our classroom. Back in November, I purchased 11 pair of headphones for classroom use. They were not expensive by any means, but I still went out of my way to purchase them for the kids to use. Myself and one of the Assistants put them in individual Ziploc bags for storage and asked the students to please put them away the same way. Within a month, all the bags were gone, and 7 out of the 11 pair were so tangled together that I had to throw them away. We would find headphones lying on the floor, in people's desks, on chairs, etc. I told the students that they were not to use them anymore because they had been disrespectful of them. After our winter break, I started letting students use them again. On Friday afternoon, I had to, once again, untangle the cords and put them away properly. I will not be allowing students to use my headphones any longer. However, all students MUST HAVE headphones. Please ensure that your child has their own set of headphones for use at school. They use them nearly every day. Thank-you!
